Year: Junior Hometown: Beaverdam, VA Major: Psychology (with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology) Favorite Colors: blue and green Monarch Moment: My most favorite Monarch Moment was the East Coast Gospel Festival hosted here at Old Dominion by the Ebony Impact Gospel Choir. We are able to spend time meeting new people from other schools as well as hearing them perform at the closing concert. Why I wanted to be a WOW Counselor: I wanted to be a WOW Counselor because I feel that the move-in process is a great experience and everyone is and should be involved in some way shape or form. I remember my week of welcome and the many activities that allowed me to meet some of my closest friends. |

Every moment at ODU is a memorable and a Monarch Moment but my most pleasant moments were at the different activities and events ODU had planned during the year. Why I wanted to be a WOW Counselor: I wanted to be a WOW counselor because I enjoy being a part of the the various activities ODU has to offer and I know how it feels to be an incoming Freshmen and not knowing much so I will like to help those new Freshmen that may need a helping hand. |

Hometown: Fairfax, VA Status: Senior Major: Interdisciplinary Studies (PreK-6) Favorite Color: pink Favorite Monarch Moment: My favorite monarch moment is when I went to the Deal or No Deal campus event in the Webb and won the Playstation Three. I was very excited when they called my ticket and I won. I wanted a PS3 for Christmas since my brother got an XBOX 360. After that event, I made sure to tell my friends about how students really do win and it wasn't a scam. I motivated my friends to get more involved in student activities. Why I wanted to be a WOW counselor: I'd love to be a WOW counselor since it gives me an opportunity to give back to the future alumni's of ODU. When I moved to ODU and didn't know much about the school nor had any friends. I wish I had the guidance and the welcoming experience with someone to point me in the right direction. Being a counselor is a joy and a wonderful opportunity to motivate students to get involved in campus activities. |

I met some really great people there and it was a great experience, especially because I was a freshman. We have to make ODU seem like the great place that it is and let them know about all of the opportunities it has to offer. |
