This will be the last of our pre opening updates we will be providing concerning the new Student Recreation Center. In a few short days, you will finally get your chance to experience almost everything that this wonderful facility has to offer.
As a reminder, we will offer tours, fitness equipment clinics and other information beginning on Friday, February 27th from 8 am until 6 pm on Feb 27th and from 12 noon until 4 pm on Feb 28th and Mar 1st. If you can't make it during the open house, we will continue to offer both clinics and tours at various times throughout the day after we open on March 2nd.
On Monday February 23 and Tuesday February 23 we will move our administrative offices to the new building. We ask your patience if you have difficulty getting in touch with us during this time. There will still be staff members answering the phones at the 47th Street gym location throughout the week. We will also have to modify the group fitness class schedule for Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28th. The new schedule will appear on our web page on Monday.
Finally, please don't forget the following: The Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) still has opening for the following trip: Winter Wonderland Day Hike on 2/28 (deadline 2/24) For more info, please contact Bridget Nemeth, Coordinator of OAP at bnemeth@odu.edu.
Intramural basketball playoffs are underway and will conclude with Championship games on Sunday March 1st in the AA Gym. Contact Brandon Adams at badams@odu.edu of the intramural staff for more details.
