OAP Facilitator
The Recreational Sports Department has vacancies for students to serve as an Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) Facilitiator for the 2007-2008 academic year. OAP Facilitators will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Assist OAP Coordinator and GA with implementation of the OAP.
2. Assist with scheduling trips, events and clinics.
3. Facilitate and lead OAP trips, events and clinics.
4. Assist in the promotion of OAP events.
5. Assist in program evaluation.
6. Coordinate OAP clinics.
Hours - OAP Facilitators work on an as-needed basis. Facilitators are expected to attend all clinics on campus, and will be scheduled in advance for all the events they will be facilitating. OAP Facilitators will also be assigned to work department special events that are not part of the OAP. Knowledge of, and genuine interest in outdoor recreation/adventure activities is a must. Good verbal and written communication skills are important. Priority will be given to individuals that have prior experience as a trip leader.

Yoga and Pilates Group Fitness Instructors
Recreational Sports is hiring motivated individuals to instruct Yoga and Pilates classes offered various times throughout the week. Teaching experience and participating in yoga and pilates is necessary. Applicants preferred but not required to currently hold a nationally recognized certification through AFAA, ACSM, ACE, YogaFit or comparable yoga/pilates certifications. P.O.°W.E.R. Instructors
These positions are open to second year physical therapy and upper class therapeutic recreation students. Some performed tasks include performing evaluations and examinations and assisting clients with the design & implementation of an exercise program based on the individual's needs. Intramural Officials
The Recreational Sports Department is looking for Intramural Officials. We will train you to officiate the following sports for this Fall: Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball. Group Fitness Instructors (Aerobics Instructors)
The Recreational Sport Department is hiring new and motivated individuals to instruct a variety of group fitness classes (aerobics classes). These individuals will teach one or more of the classes offered Mondays through Fridays between 12:15 and 1:10 pm. Experience teaching and participating in any of the following classes is preferred but not mandatory since we will provide training: step, hi/lo impact, yoga, pilates, strength and tone type. Fitness Clinic Instructors
Recreational Sports is hiring new and motivated instructors to lead fitness clinics athat teach students, faculty, and staff how to use the equipment in the conditioning room. Clinics are offered at various times throughout the week. Basic knowledge of exrecise principles and/or an excercise education is preferred.
