Family Weekend

Save the date!
Family Weekend 2008 will be held November 21-22, 2008.

Family Weekend is a special opportunity for you and your family to become better acquainted with the Old Dominion University campus and all it has to offer. Monarch Family Weekend will be culminating our homecoming week, making it even bigger and better!

To keep you informed about all of the exciting events, we will be updating this page throughout the next few weeks. Here you can find a detailed schedule of events, so you can plan your weekend according to your interests. There is a fee of $15 per person to help defray the cost for these events. ODU students may attend for free.

The Monarch Family Weekend schedule includes basketball games (at an additional cost),
pre-game tailgate parties, the Homecoming Parade, and a President's brunch. To see the other events that are taking place on campus during Family Weekend, check out the University Calendar.

10am-3pm	Check-in and Registration	Campus Information Center, Webb University Center
4pm-7pm	Check-in and Registration	Check in at the tailgate behind the Ted Constant Convocation Center
5:30pm	Tailgate	Open area behind the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Monarch Way

Saturday, 11.22.08
9:30am-11am	Check-in and Registration	Ted Constant Convocation Center Lobby
9:45am-10am	Pictures with Big Blue	Ted Constant Convocation Center - Bring a camera and be sure to take your family picture with Big Blue, ODU's Mascot.
10am	President's Brunch	Ted Constant Convocation Center. Join the President for brunch and a chance to meet and greet. Several offices will also be present to highlight their services.
12pm	Homecoming Parade on Monarch Way	Come enjoy the student organization floats and marching bands, and make some noise as you become a part of this ODU tradition.
1:30pm	ODU Football Scrimmage	Powhatan High School Football Field.
2:30pm	Tailgate	Open area behind the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Monarch Way.
