ODU Empty Bowls 2008
ODU Empty Bowls 2008 will be held on November 20, 2008 from 11am to 2pm (speaker at 12:30) in the Chesapeake/Portsmouth room of Webb Center. Participants are asked to bring a canned food donation and in turn will learn more about hunger in the local community and what they can do to help. Participants will also experience a real soup kitchen and paint a bowl that they can keep to remind them that there are always empty bowls in the world. This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Service & Civic Engagement, Aramark, TRUST, Alpha Phi Omega, The Student Art League and Color Me Mine Norfolk. All donations will be given to the FoodBank of Southeastern VA.
