Student Organization/Club Advisors,

 

This is just a quick update to keep abreast of some resources to support you and your student organizations. 

 

Advisor Luncheon:  Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 12PM in the Cape Charles/Isle of Wight Room in Webb Center.  The Advisor’s Luncheon is our way of honoring and recognizing your valuable service to the co-curricular experience of our individual students and their organizations. The Advisor’s Luncheon is also a fantastic opportunity to connect with other advisors; as well as to share and discuss successes and challenges of being an advisor to a student organization. It will feature a lunch as well as opportunities for discussion. Please RSVP to the Office of Student Activities and Leadership (OSAL) at 757-683-3446.

 

Leadership  Lab: Friday, September 28, 2012 in Webb Center. There are a variety of workshops offered including the advisors’ workshop at 12pm & 1pm.  Join us for lunch at 11:30am.  Student organizations who received SGA funding are required to send a representative to one of the budget workshops.  They are being offered at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, & 2:30pm. Please see specific workshop details on odu.orgsync.com or visit the osal website.  

 

Org Sync Update: 

We are utilizing a new platform called OrgSync for student communication, re-registering student organizations, tracking co-curricular transcripts, and seamlessly manage involvement.  By using this platform, students will be able to manage all organization memberships and other campus activities. You may register your account and join your organizations online by following these simple instructions:

1.       Go to www.ODU.OrgSync.com

2.       Click “Login” on the bottom left

3.       Click the green link

4.       Login with your midas ID and password and complete profile information

Search for organizations and join!

1.      Click the green Browse Organizations in the top right.

2.      Search by name, category, or keyword

3.      Click Join Now, or request to join an organization!

To help the entire campus community get Sync’d we are facilitating several training sessions. Join us in the Cyber Loft , Webb Center for Org Sync training on Sept 28.  We have sessions from 1pm – 4pm.
