ORIENTATION
Orientation, which will be held on Wednesday, 6 January from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Batten Arts & Letters (BAL) 1012, is required for all students new to ODU and for those who are new taking academic classes (e.g. former students at ODU's English Language Center). Attendance at orientation is MANDATORY. Therefore, be sure to schedule all advisor meetings, off-campus appointments, etc., for another day or after orientation.
For more information, visit the
orientation page on the Office of Intercultural Relations' web site.
PREVIEW--required for most UNDERGRADUATE students
PREVIEW is an academic orientation to ODU for undergraduate students where you are assisted with meeting an advisor and registering for classes. All freshman (first-year) students and those in the College of Business and Public Administration are required to attend. If you are a transfer student who has 24 or more transferrable credits, attendance is recommended. Pre-registration is required online and there is a fee for PREVIEW. This program is very different than International Student Orientation, so it is not sufficient to just attend PREVIEW.
TOEFL & SPEAK TESTS
