This is the winning photo from a contest in which teams were given clues to sites in the downtown area and had to shoot creative pictures of the landmarks.  Teams were comprised of new students and Monarch Mentors, current students who act as a resource and support during the new students' first semester at ODU.

International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) is responsible for providing support programs and advising services which help to ensure the academic and personal success of our international student and scholar community.  ISSS also works closely with academic departments and administrative offices, offering them training workshops that build awareness of the international community's needs and develop intercultural communication skills.  Through  regular collaboration with other service offices, ISSS is part of the foundation that students and scholars can utilize to become fully integrated members of the Old Dominion University community.
