Summer School Housing
2008 Summer Housing Instructions
Applying for on-campus housing is easy! Remember, you must be admitted to Old Dominion University or be participating in an internship/co-op program before you can apply for summer housing. Follow the instructions on this page and be certain to read everything. Housing staff is on-hand to assist you if you have any questions. Open and print the Office of Housing and Residence Life Summer Agreement, Summer Assignment Form and Room Rates page.
· Read the Terms and Conditions of the Summer Agreement carefully before signing on page 2. If you are under 18-years of age you will also need a parent or guardian to read and sign the document.
· Complete all sections of the Summer Assignment Form. Any section not completed may delay the processing of your paperwork and assignment.
· Read the Room Rates page. Using the information on this page, choose the appropriate residence hall location and list it on the Assignment Card.

If you are a university student at another school and plan to intern or co-op at Old Dominion University or a company/organization within the immediate area and want to stay on campus, you may do so. In order to complete your packet, you also need to print and complete the Special Programs/Internship Addendum.
Mail the signed Summer Agreement, completed Summer Assignment Form and if applicable, the Special Programs/Internship Addendum and a $50 pre-payment. The pre-payment will be applied to your summer balance which is due by July 3, 2008.
We accept checks and money orders. Make all checks or money orders to "Old Dominion University". DO NOT send cash through the mail. Remember to include your University Identification Number or Social Security Number, if interning, on all correspondence. Remember to place the appropriate amount of postage on the envelope and mail the packet to the Office of Finance at:

Before you begin...
- Refund policy - The prepayment is refundable if cancellation is made in writing to the Office of Housing and Residence Life before May 1, 2008. This includes prepayments made after the refund deadline. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of the Housing Summer Agreement.
- Assignment Policy - Acceptance of the Housing Summer Agreement does not guarantee a specific room assignment. Room assignments are made on your date of arrival to campus, as you check in. No specific room assignment is guaranteed or implied. The resident understands that the University makes all assignments based on the University's non-discriminatory statement.
- Please note that due to space limitations, completion of a summer housing agreement and assignment card and receipt of a $50 prepayment does not guarantee a room assignment
- If a vacancy occurs in an assigned room or suite, the remaining resident/s agrees to accept another roommate, as assigned.
