Residence Hall Director
The Office of Housing and Residence Life employs 8 full-time, master's-level Residence Hall Directors (RHDs) to oversee the day-to-day functions of our residential complexes. RHDs are full-time, Administrative Faculty, live-in positions.
Reporting to the Area Coordinator, the RHD is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of a comprehensive residential living and learning environment to promote personal, academic, and social growth of residents and staff. The RHD assists with the development of staff recruitment, selection, training and evaluation; professional development opportunities for staff; acts as a University Pre-Hearing Officer adjudicating housing policy violations, assists with managing an area programming budget; and participates in on-call duty rotation.
