Spring 2010 Housing Application Process

Housing & Residence Life is excited in your interest to live on-campus. Living on-campus can be one of the most memorable experiences during a college career.

Application for the Spring 2010 Housing Application Process will begin on October 1, 2009.

Housing assignments are processed through a first to apply, first to be assigned, practice. You may preference a roommate. However, please note, during the Spring Assignment Process multiple spaces in the same room are limited; creating a challange to align preferred roommates. As space and options become limited Housing & Residence Life will make every attempt to accommodate your requested preferences.

Applying for on-campus housing creates an agreement to live on-campus housing unless cancelled prior to November 1, 2009.

The assigning of specific rooms will occur during the winter break period once vacancies have been confirmed.

*Note about University Village

University Village contains an alternative contract period than other on-campus residence halls and apartments. Buildings 3 & 4 are short term contacts ending May 31, 2010; while buildings 1, 2, and 5-10 are longer contracts through July 31, 2010. The longer contracted buildings will have an additional payment for the summer housing billed in May.

How to Apply

Read provided materials.
Apply early!
Submit your online application.
Submit the $250 application fee of which $50 is nonrefundable. Payment may be made online or made in person to the Office of Finance. Be sure to print out the deposit form to submit with your payment if not using the online payment option.
Read your ODU email. You can check your Leo online account to see when your application is complete. Applications are complete when the Office of Housing & Residence Life has received both the completed application and $250 prepayment.
Students will receive assignment via their ODU email address over the semester break period.
