Returning Student SIGN-UP Process

For those without an earned ODU GPA only

Students who are new to the University beginning Spring Semester, 2008 are not eligible to participate in the lottery process. Without an earned GPA at ODU, it is not possible for you to participate in this process in an equitable manner.  As such, you must apply for on-campus housing by utilizing the new student application process.  This process is based primarily on the date of your application, so it is essential that you apply for the 2008-2009 academic year as soon as possible to guarantee the greatest opportunity of receiving the housing assignment that you desire.

For those current students who did not go through the lottery

If you miss the lottery you have to apply as a new student and get consideration for space only on your date of application.

• Virginia House
  •  Upperclassman are eligible to live in the Virginia House next year as long as they end the Spring 2008 semester with a 3.0 or better GPA.  Virginia House hosts incoming freshman Honors College students and upperclassman will share the building with these students.
• Powhatan
  • Powhatan will have a new Housing Agreement period beginning on August 1, 2008 and running through May 31, 2009.
• University Village
  • University Village will have two Housing Agreement periods.  One is considered a short-term agreement running from August 1, 2008 through to May 31, 2009.  The second Housing Agreement period is considered a long-term agreement running from August 15, 2008 through July 31, 2009.
