Returning Student Lottery Process
What is the lottery? It is a process designed to determine assignment priority for all current ODU students with an earned grade point average. The system or matrix which determines points is based on the values held by the University and is explained in our ROOMERS brochure. By now you should have received your personal copy of the brochure.
There is a special exemption available for Village residents. If you are happy in your current campus housing location, you may lock-in your current apartment building and room and bypass the lottery process all together!! By taking advantage of this exemption, you have the benefit of knowing, in advance, your preferred housing assignment. By locking in your room, you will not be able to pull a roommate in with you.

Upperclassmen can live in the Virginia House next year as long as they end the spring semester with a 3.0 or better gpa. You will be sharing the building with incoming freshmen Honors College students.
