Sophomore Living
During the second year of college, sophomore students bring experiences and growth from freshman year into their living communities. They often find themselves more prepared to take an active role both in the residence halls and in the campus community. The Sophomore Living area is designed to meet the needs of students who are making the transition into their second year of college. A student's sophomore year can be both a challenging and anxiety-producing experience while they start to think about their future personal, academic and career goals. The purpose of the Sophomore Living area is to connect the sophomore class through programs, activities, and resources which promote opportunities for each student to learn from another's experience, grow as an individual, and move forward on achieving their goals and aspirations. Sophomores can apply to two live in The Virginia and Ireland Houses or in the Powhatan apartments located within a short walk of classes.
