About the Waitlist

• This Waitlist is for current ODU students only. New students should see New Student Assignments.  Placement on the Waitlist does not guarantee housing.
• Your position in the Waitlist is based upon your original lottery number.
• Waitlist information is updated on a daily basis.
• The number of rooms offered is based on the number of vacancies that come available based on cancellations.
• Movement on the waitlist cannot be predicted and it is difficult to predict a student's chances of receiving housing.
• Last minute cancellations are possible but there is no way to predict when the last offers will be made.
• Students are encouraged to explore off-campus housing options and not rely solely on the Waitlist.
• The Waitlist will remain active through August 20, 2008 unless otherwise notified.

Notifications

• We will contact waitlist students only in the event that a space becomes available.
• Students are notified of room assignment offers through their ODU email account.
• If we are able to offer you housing, you will receive an email giving you specifics and how to officially accept the offer.
• Since offers are based on vacancies, we are not always able to honor housing preferences.

Removal from the Waiting List

• If you have found off-campus housing and no longer wish to be contacted, please email us at housing@odu.edu to have your name removed from the waitlist.
