The Building Preferences, Roommate Preferences & Personal Lifestyle Survey will be sent to your ODU email address the last part of April, 2008. As was shared with some of you during Admitted Student Day on April 5, 2008, our Department is setting up a new room management database system to help with automated assignments and room management systems throughout the year.
We are excited about this new development, however, with any new database system, there can be glitches from time to time. We experienced one of these glitches for more than two weeks, and as a result, the preference information will be coming to you later this month.
The benefit of this system is that the process utilizes the Student Web
portion of our RMS database. This option is an excellent way to manage
gathering all of the information for each student. We benefit in
additional ways by being more conscious of our impact on our environment. Thus, we meet an additional goal of our department to reduce the use of paper processes.
As the information changes, we are updating the ODU Housing & Residence Life website.
