Health Services Staff

The Yon Student Health Services Staff of Old Dominion University consist of a Director, Medical Director, Office Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Health Information Manager, 4 Physicians, Health Education Coordinator, Healthcare Technologist, Lab Technician, 2 Registered Nurses,  6 Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Office Program Specialist, 2 Medical Assistants, Appointment Secretary, Office Assistant, and Office Services Assistant.

Jenny Foss, Director
Jenny Foss joined the staff of Old Dominion University Student Health Services in November 1991 as clinical supervisor. She was appointed the interim director in December 1992, and director, in July 1993. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with completion of the Adult and Aging Nurse Practitioner Program. Her previous experience includes working in hospital nursing (intensive care, medical/surgical, post open heart surgery), in the Veterans Adminstration, and as a nurse practitioner in the private sector in Indiana and Vermont. She loves the field of college health, and enjoys encouraging students to have a healthy lifestyle. Her hobbies include running, jazzercize and she is an avid Lady Monarch's basketball fan. She lives in Chesapeake with her husband Steve, and 2 children, Matt and Katie.

Physicians

Dr. Robert Dunker    
Dr. Robert Dunker, MD received his BS from the College of William and Mary and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed a family practice residency at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, and was the Chief Resident in his third year there. Dr. Dunker is board certified in Family Medicine, and has more than 20 years of experience as a physician in family medicine and urgent care. Most recently, he worked for 12 years at First Colonial Family Practice and Urgent Care Center in Virginia Beach before assuming his position as the first full-time Medical Director/Physician here at Student Health Services on September 26, 2005. Dr. Dunker resides in Virginia Beach with his wife and three children.

Physician Assistant

Kathleen Eysenbach, Physician Assistant    
Kathleen Eysenbach received her B.S. in Biology from the College of Charleston. She then attended the Medical University of S.C. to receive her Physician Assistant training in Primary Care. Before coming to ODU in 1986, she worked in various settings, including family practice, orthopedics, and college health. Kathleen joined Student Health Services in October 1991. She is currently licensed to practice as a Physician's Assistant in Virginia and maintains her national certification with the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. This entails recertification every two years with continuing medical education credits and every seven years with a recertifying written examination.
   

 

Nurse Practitioners

Jemima Addico-Filson, Nurse Practitioner    
Jemima Addico joined the staff at Student Health Services in August 2001 and has been a nurse practitioner for more than 3 years. She received her Master's Degree in Nursing from Hampton University and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Norfolk State University. She is licensed by the State of Virginia and nationally certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her prior experience includes college health and nursing education, as well as hospital-based nursing. Jemima is president of the Tidewater Council of Nurse Practitioners, a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. In 2001, she was recognized by the Virginia Nurses Association with a Centinnial Award for her achievement and contribution to the nursing profession. Jemima was born in Ghana, West Africa. Her hobbies include shopping, decorating and fine dining.

 

St. George, Clinical Supervisor    
Judy St. George joined Old Dominion University Student Health Services as a nurse practitioner in 1997. She became the Clinical Supervisor in 2001. Judy received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Boston College. She worked for many years in a variety of nursing positions, including ICU, Emergency Room, Occupational Health and Home Health. Judy received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Old Dominion University. She loves working in the field of college health and enjoys the many interesting people she has met at ODU. Judy has been married to her husband, Kevin, for many years and is the mother of 3 adult sons. She enjoys the beach, getting together with friends, and college sports.

 

Fran Newman

Registered Nurses

Anita Golemo Clark, Registered Nurse    
Anita Golemo has been the full-time registered nurse at Student Health Services since August 1998. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Penn State University at University Park. She is licensed by the state of Virginia. She has had many years of experience in ambulatory care. When she is not at work, she enjoys gardening, rollerblading, and going to the beach. She loves animals and is owned by an Akita and four cats.

Loraine Eastwood, Registered Nurse    
Loraine Eastwood has been a registered nurse at Student Health Services since June 1997. She received her nursing education from West Jersey Hospital School of Nursing in Camden, New Jersey and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health and Health Education from Towson State University in Baltimore, Maryland. She has worked as an operating room nurse, in outpatient clinics (hospital and community based) and public health. She is licensed by the State of Virginia to practice as a registered nurse. Her hobbies include fishing and walking on the beach. She lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and cat.

 

LPN

Margret Stacy, LPN    
Margret joined Old Dominion University Student Health Services as a part-time licensed practical nurse in November 2006.  She worked for 27 years as a LPN in the newborn nursery and Pediatrics before joining the Student Health Services staff. 

 

Laboratory

Susan Nagle, Laboratory Supervisor    
Sue Nagle received her B.S. in Medical Technology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. She is certified as a medical technologist through the American Society of Clinical Pathology. She has many years experience in the field of medical technology and has managed the clinical laboratory at Student Health Services since August 1980.  

Anthony Barkey

 

Medical Assistants

Diane Brown, Medical Assistant    
Diane Brown has been a medical assistant at Student Health Services since December 1990. She graduated from Careercom College with a certificate in Medical Assisting. She lives in Norfolk. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and traveling.

Norma Turner, Medical Assistant    
Norma Turner joined Student Health Services in December 1996 and has been a medical assistant for more than 10 years. She graduated from Commonwealth College with the degree of Associate of Applied Science-Medical Assisting in 1992. She enjoys working with college students. Her hobbies include singing, dancing and gardening. She is an active church member.
