Student Issues

Students pursue the help of a counselor for a variety of reasons. Usually they seek counseling to relieve the pressure of specific issues or symptoms, such as:

  • dissatisfying social relationships

Counseling is a process of learning from the very experiences which are troubling for people. No problem is too big or too insignificant for discussing with a counselor. Keep in mind that numerous students use counseling services for a wide variety of reasons. At Old Dominion, counseling is considered a healthy choice.
